Entertaiment
A pleasant diversion or amusement. Solving the daily crossword puzzle is an entertainment for many people.
From Middle English entretenement, from Old French entretenement (support, maintenance). Entertainment also can be a form of mental or emotional stimulation. What appears as entertainment to one person may be a source of insight or intellectual growth for another.
The world of entertainment is changing fast. In the past, business was good for record and film companies, but now, consumers are bargain hunting on eBay or scouring sites like Craigslist for their music needs. In addition, independent recording artists and filmmakers are utilizing software to make their own entertainment. This trend is resulting in entertainment companies having to find new ways to attract customers. This has been a challenge for all companies involved in the world of entertainment.
